Planning: Story Board

Within this storyboard, we've created about 18 slides of the basic outline of our project that shows the character and them interacting with the setting and other characters.

Slide 1: Here is presented a mid shot, specifically to present the alarm in the scene changing from 7:34 to 7:35. Additionally this will have a fade in transition.

Slide 2: A high angle will be shown next. This will reveal the entirety of the room, which will introduce our main character.

Slide 3: A mid shot close up on the character's bag will be shown next that has the character's bed in frame as well.

Slide 4: Here, the same general concept of slide 3 remains, however, the character is now reaching into their bag to pull out a laptop.'

Side 5: The mid angle shot here is used to show the main character using the previous laptop as he logs into online school.

Slide 6: The character is now interacting with the teacher and is represented by a medium close-up

Slide 7: A POV shot is how here, to see what the character is seeing which is the online class.

Slide 8: A pan transitioned to mid angle shows two characters walking toward practice.

slide 9: reverse shot of mj talking to Cleveland

Side 10: A tilt shot shows how the walk is being interrupted by a phone call.

Slide 11: Mid shot establishes that the main character is by themselves and holding their ringing phone in their hand.

Slide 12: An over-the-shoulder shot is used to show the main characters having dialogue with their boss.

Slide 13: Low angle shot shows the main character mopping and cleaning until very late into the night.

Slide 14: Establishing shot to show that the main character is back home.

Slide 15: Pov shot shows that the time is 12:47 am when the main character takes out their phone.

Slide 16: Low angle, long shot to show how Cleveland is walking inside of his home, the original setting.

Slide 17: Pov shot on Cleveland's computer to show how he begins working on the assignment from his teacher.

Slide 18: Action match to Cleveland typing

  Genre Discussion February 21, 2021  For the past couple of days, my partner and I have been discussing what genre should we do. We couldn't choose right away at first because we had to discuss the pros and the cons of each genre. We had to choose out of thriller, drama, and action. (3) The first genre we had was the drama genre. The drama has  stories with high stakes and a lot of conflicts. They're plot-driven and demand that every character and scene move the story forward. We  both worked on this genre when we had the genre project, so we both had some knowledge about it. The pros of this genre are that we had the basics of it down, so the research could be kept to a minimum. This genre best fits the pitch that we choose in our earlier discussion. The cons of this genre are that some of the common things found in drama we might not be able to recreate. Things like costumes or have makeup. Filming Blog

My Expirience On Wednesday, October 28th, I began my filming process and it wasn't as easy as I first anticipated. First, I had to first get the props and set them in their right place so that when I needed to use them there wouldn't be any hassle. After that, I began to film and soon realized filming wasn't really my best friend. The angles, the movement, and the lighting we're all different factors in each take and for this being my first time, I wasn't ready. In addition to that, there were a few mess ups that occurred and I had to end up reshooting the whole scene. I learned even a 30 second commercial can be complex if you really want to make it perfect. I used movement like tracking, close-shot, and long shot and angles such as high and low. Also, the background felt bland, I feel like I should've added more props to really capture the viewers attention.
