Filming First Scenes
We began filming the first few scenes of the film yesterday. These first few scenes are one of the most important because they give the audience a good idea of how the main character acts and the type of person they are, a somewhat responsible and scheduled person. These initial scenes also revolve around the start of the day for the main character which begins with an alarm that goes off transitioning into online virtual school. One key thing is these scenes is the fact that in order the film the virtual school meeting, we needed to create a zoom call with another person on the other side, being me. We also had to get the lighting right as well, as the alarm would've read 7:30 am, which implies it is still light outside but not as bright as it would be during midday. One thing that might have been a challenge would be adequately capturing angles. Since we aren't using top tier camera equipment and we are limited to a room, it was a little difficult for the phone to stand on its on in places and to stand in places that were hard to reach. To work around this, we had to move some furniture around an had to work best with what we could which meant some angles, such as the high angles, would be somewhat compromised. Regardless, we had to reshoot many times because of forgotten lines and somewhat because the video was too shaky or maybe even because somewhat was a little too close to the microphone on the camera, but overall, we were able to overcome these small, minor problems, and were able to film the important things that led to the bigger picture, or should I say film.
