Final Task: Pitch
There were many candidates for the pitch of our assignment. Originally, we thought of the project being based around a well known person, someone who is always there to give a helping hand, however when the tide turns, no one is there to help him. Although it was a fair pitch, it seemed too basic and cliche and more importantly, too similar to the idea of the music video, we wanted our pitch to be brand new so we could start fresh. We debated on the genre of the film as well, considering action, romance, or comedy. We finally came up with the idea after my group mate considered that it should be something from one our lives which led us to our final pitch...
After some time and discussion my partner and I came up with a pitch: an adolescent who on the outside seems very outgoing and extroverted but is constantly being consumed by stress and depression by trying to manage school, work, and his sport. With everything going the way it is, he experiences a sharp turn in his life. This pitch seems very natural and more importantly, more relatable, not only to teens, but adults as well. Moreover, it provides a great message; self care being the best care. As you continue to let stress and anxiety build up inside of your mind, you lose place for the things that truly make you happy and what's a life without happiness?
Final Pitch: An adolescent who on the outside seems very outgoing and extroverted but is constantly being consumed by stress and depression by trying to manage school, work, and his sport. With everything going the way it is, he experiences a sharp turn in his life.
