Final Task: Intro Blog

My name is Bethoven Valcourt, an 11th grader at Fort. Lauderdale high school. For my Final Task, I will be working with a good friend, Cleveland Williams. Cleveland has helped me on many other projects and films as well including the interview project, and the music video. We have always been productive and created high quality work as a duo. Moreover, we will be recreating a film that resembles the introduction to a movie. 

This film will be different as it is longer, 2 minutes instead of 1minute or 30 seconds, and will have more complicated steps, including the editing. It is also important to note that this film will have to create a message or feeling that will have to persuade the audience to keep watching. Take the music video and commercial for example. These two films were created to fulfill the audience. Respectively, the music video gave a brief synopsis of what the song was about while the commercial premiered the product and the uses it has. However, this film will only be 2 minutes of an original film therefore, we will have to create a project that entices the audience to want to watch the rest. Moreover, the advertisement and music video project where all ideas are originated from another source, while this film will have to come from scratch.. 

All in all, this project sparks creativity and gives me a chance to show the skills I have gained thus far while bringing a lesson to the audience.

Production Blog: Filming final scenes

 After we finished filming the scene where Cleveland would be talking to Mj about the practice and the big game the next day, the main character gets a call from his boss from work.  Here, the boss asks him can he come in and tries to emphasize tries that he's a little busy. Before he could finish speaking he is cut off and begged to come in. As he wants to please everyone to the best of his ability he finally gives in.  During these scenes, we get to see more of the character's attitude. As we have seen in the basketball scene and in this scene the main character has a very hard time saying "no" or speaking up for himself. Even though it may affect him and some ways. As the basketball may inflict how good his work will come out for class. Also, how going to work may inflict how long he can practice.                                            The opening credits of our film will appear in a century gothic that appears to type in the middle of the screen.  Working Title: The title of this film is likely to be "the understanding"  It will be typed in the same font as the other titles Titles will all be typed on the screen. They will come on as being types and slowly disappear with a transition. Titles will disappear after two or three seconds
